About Us

We are an independent used car dealer. We are a small family business with three generations currently active in day to day operations. We use local mechanical shops to get our cars ready for the lot. Unless otherwise stated all our vehicles have been serviced, Pennsylvania state inspected, and carry a three month 4500 mile warranty. We’re a member of the Pennsylvania Independent Auto Dealers association and subscribe to their code of ethics. We’ve been doing business as Al Tilley Auto Sales Inc. since 1984 but have been selling cars in Montrose since 1949.

We have bank financing available to qualified buyers. Extended warranties are available through a third party provider.

Al Tilley Sr. founded the business after retiring from Al Tilley Chevy-Olds-Saab, a business which he had managed since 1949.

Al Tilley Jr. worked for a major foodservice distributor for eleven years after Al Tilley Chevrolet closed and returned to manage the used car business in 1993.

Charles Tilley graduated from Montrose Area Schools in 1999 and is currently involved in sales and day to day operations.
